55 meters : ウィキペディア英語版
55 metres
55 metres is a sprint event in track and field. It is a championship event for indoor championships, normally dominated by the best outdoor 100 metres runners. At outdoor venues it is a rare distance, at least for senior athletes.
The history of the event lies in the 60 yard dash, which roughly equates to 55 metres. For this reason, the event is most popular in countries which use or have used imperial measurements, especially the United States. Unlike the 50 metres and 60 metres running events, the 55 metres is not an IAAF recognised event.〔(IAAF records ). IAAF. Retrieved on 2009-01-05.〕
